Join the club Zac! Rob might not have attended the Oscars on Sunday night but he was still the talk of Tinseltown as Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush grilled High School Musical star, Zac Efron on Rob. Apparently Rob has spoken publicly about his man-crush on Zac (and I thought his heart belonged to Ricky Gervais!) and so the reporter wanted to find out if Zac felt the same way. Could we be on the brink of Hollywood’s hottest bromance? Seems so. “He’s absolutely amazing,” said Zac. Don’t we know it!

“I think he’s making great choices," continued Zac (does that mean he’s going to watch Remember Me?), who added: "I think he’s handling it all really well, but you know, he’s a superstar. He really deserves all this.” Hear, hear.

Great to see Zac showing some love to Rob and discover his appreciation of Rob’s work and though it seems completely genuine and real, I can’t help but wonder if there’s any sense of rivalry between the two. Nothing malicious or spiteful, just a healthy spirit of competition as surely the parts that Zac thinks Rob’s working so well at are the kind of thing he could or might be offered. Is Zac indirectly saying that he’d like to get some of Rob’s roles? Maybe. Well I’m sure he doesn’t want to be Troy Bolton forever.
